Preserved moss keeps its original shape and feel, capturing nature perfectly.

Once it has undergone the preservation process it becomes suspended in time & can be treated similar to artificial.

Unlike dried plants the cells have been replaced with a natural alternative to water causing a stabilizing or stop, to its deterioration.

I can then used it like an art medium alongside other materials, to recreate a lush forest floor, miniature coastal scene, or an intricate terrarium.

These artworks are perfect for the home or office, requiring no maintenance, no moisture/watering or direct sun.

Moss is truly remarkable!

Belonging to the bryophyte family, moss thrives without the need for roots or flowers. Flourishing in the harshest and most challenging environments, they expertly cling to surfaces, eventually forming a lush, untouched natural carpet. During warm dry temperatures, they survive with ability to enter a dormant state, patiently awaiting the return of water to revive.

Inspired by nature and a love for plants and flowers I have enjoyed the process of combining my florist, art, and a little science, to up skill into something new. I mainly use materials from my garden or locally sourced, to be sustainable & true to a product which is made here in Aoteroa, not imported from overseas.
